Building your own structures, is for most that have the patience, very rewarding. You know that it is a one of a kind, and much like building a real structure, pride. But there is also that visitor WOW You made that! So far, I haven't went so far as to pull out any Major Drafting equipment [I'm and old hand at it] just doing small everyday structures, my favorite being the Shotgun House.

The Shotgun house, is the first attempt at "peeling paint", the picture doesn't do the job justice at all. The blue structure, is diversion, and like in the real world I wanted some homes that are just to funky of a color.
The "other side of town" Inspired by a little off to the side street in Piedmont, WV this is actually
comprised of parts from DPM & Heljan Buildings. I'm looking forward to finishing it up and detailing.
The halftracks are also projects. The left rear is bone stock, while the forground is one that was being redone

Shaw WV Church: This church sat right in front of the OML in Shaw, WV, a long gone coal town now under Jennings Randolf Lake.

The church is on the left, yet to complete is the bell tower

A fruit stand modeled after one appearing in RMC over the summer. I guess it will take more of a presence once it is fully detailed with activity

A Barrel Factory type building. The WM did have a barrel making company on its main line back in the day, though I couldn't find a picture of it.

Belington Tower, for right now.. It will go thru some future enchancements

Above: Belingtons 'New" fire station & Police Office, I wanted a large structure to house more than 1 or 2 engines it holds a total of between 7-9 vehicles, Once in awhile I like to switch gears and endulge in other modeling in 1/160 scale and I plan on doing a few scratchbuilt engines.. The roofs lift off to show off the future details. Details included will be Coat racks, gear, sawzallz, and other typical fire house items. This structure will more than likely end up on ebay, I love it, but it won't fit into what I have planned

Above: Store fronts using left over DPM walls, the one on the left is "older" with its card shelves mockups, the right is more of a 50's-ish store modeled after a front in the old part of Keyser, but found anywhere.
